Being silver/white blond
Ok, I'm not a hairdresser but I'm a good home hair gal. I've learnt from mistakes and am pretty confident with my bleach, much to many hairdressers disgust! π I guess I can take the risks, they just can't. I like to be white blond and I know what my hair can handle, any way I've used lots of hair products for silver/white blond hair and there are definitely good ones and not so good ones!! I love to try different products all the time so I can find the best, I believe that's what we have to do or that's what I can do to save you the pain π
Ok, so I started with my first silver blond shampoo from L'Oreal, it's in a pink bottle and its called 'Shine Blond', retails around $20.
I loved this product as it was the only thing I knew. I hate orange/yellow blond (or warmth as the professionals would say) on me any way, so purple and strong purple is what I needed. After visiting an amazing hair dresser @alteria rose artistry, she put me on to EVO an amazing range with fun quirky sayings on each bottle representing the product benefits. I didn't use any purple products from this range but my hair was so so damaged that Rosie recommended the protein treatment (mane attention $23) mixed with hydration treatment (the great hydrator $25)
from the Evo range once a week ( remember never over use protein in your hair routine as it will cause the hair to break as it becomes too brittle with overuse, that's why I mixed the hydration with protein treatment and my hair got the best of both ingredients). These two treatments together I highly recommend, by far the best treatments I've used and that's another whole blog about treatments π But my hair has become so much better then I came across a purple conditioner from Eleven, keeps my colour treatment blond
which you could use as a treatment. I find Evo and Eleven similar in packaging but Eleven seems to have not much to it, no results that I noticed where as Evo had depth and made a noticeable difference in a short period of time. So I wouldn't ever go back to Eleven but definitely keeping my Evo stock up! π I must admit though, I ran out of my purple shampoo and needed it ASAP so popped to the shop to get my oldie but goodie L'Oreal 'Shine Blond' pink bottle (my fav colour) and came across a L'Oreal Professional silver shampoo JACKPOT! exactly what I wanted, around $23.
I've never looked back, this is now my once a week shampoo, the pigment is so strong I love it!! If I need a good boost of silver/purple, I'll leave it in while I wash the rest of my body (3-5 mins) to get that to really tone πππππππ
