IPL hair removal can be performed on a range of areas, including the face, underarms, arms, legs, bikini and body. A consultation and skin assessment are required before treatment to determine suitability and the appropriate settings for your skin type and hair colour. Results vary between individuals.
What You Need to Know
Before yout treatment
Before your IPL Hair Removal treatment, a consultation and skin assessment will determine whether the treatment is suitable for you and your skin type.
Avoid waxing, plucking or epilating for at least 4 weeks prior. Shaving is recommended.
Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning and fake tan before treatment.
Do not apply deodorant, perfume or irritating products to the treatment area on the day.
During treatment
Protective eyewear is worn and the IPL hand-piece is applied to the treatment area. You may experience a warm or snapping sensation during treatment.
After treatment
Mild redness, warmth or sensitivity may occur and usually settles within a short period. Avoid excessive heat, sun exposure and irritating products immediately after treatment, and use broad-spectrum SPF.
Multiple treatments
Multiple treatments are generally required as IPL targets hair during its active growth phase. Results vary between individuals. A consultation and skin assessment are required before treatment.
