My Skin is my enemy!!!

My Skin is my enemy!!!

By @kyliejaneonline on 11/28/2017

My skin has been my enemy since I was 30! Never had a pimple in my teens or twenties but turned 30 and wow! I don’t know what happened. Being a therapist I’ve used 1000 different ranges and it’s just my hormones. The beauty of PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) Im sure many of you understand my pain😢 Products definitely improve it and I definitely still maintain my skin care routine including peels, micro and needling etc. But it is what it is!!! Any way, I’ve used so many foundations and some enhance the crap but some are amazing!! So this is my journey through foundations and to be honest im still not 100% happy 😐
So you would automatically go ‘let’s get some nice thick full coverage foundation to cover that crap!’
So I got the foundation stick from Napoleon, around $55 each. Mmm eerrr, it was ok but it made my open pores look huge and dried out the breakouts so looked flakey and a bit cakey. It was ok and I did use it for a few years but kept trying to find something new and better. Then I found the Kryolin pan stick foundation, $46.
I thought photographic makeup, perfect (available in chemists nice and handy) full coverage and even! But no, this made me look 100 years older also enhanced my open pores even more and made my breakouts look even worse and sunk into my wrinkles!! I thought maybe I should go back to a liquid. At this time Napoleon had just released the sheer genius foundations -$56.60- which was good but left me quite shiny and using the powder over the top to get a better coverage also turned me cakey! I had used all the good brands so supermarket here I come!! I used the Maybelline fit me
and thought I’d go with the matte finish but also found my eyes looked 90 as it sank into my lines and made the rest of my face crepey! So tried the dewey finish in the same fit me range but then it was the opposite.. super oily and made my breakouts worse so now its MAC time!
Studio Sculpt $50 was recommended to me by one of the gals there. It was dewy and supple, I loved it (stunk of chemical though) but unfortunately just not enough coverage for my yucky skin. So I was on the hunt for that nice dewy plump look and full coverage without the cakey, cracked old lady look!!!! Back to the supermarket I go!

I got like 5 off the shelf and went home to test. P.S. I’ve been using good primer under all of these so im doing it properly and im a professional make-up artist! Nope all either oily or dry no in between. Last but not least, my sister Sharn told me to try MAC studio finish with next to nothing powder (which i hesitated but she had an extra step to help me)
MAC prep and prime Fix spray to finish $32 which took away the powdery look and gave me the coverage but i had moisture from the Fix spray. U can use all day just to freshen up your look 😁 perfect 💋💋💋💋
